Song of Ages Story of Maya was a multimedia extravaganza produced and directed by Nancy Gorglione with Laser Affiliates and L.A.S.E.R.

[Gorglione]

Song of Ages was part of the Light Sound Motion Performance Series produced by Laser Affiliates. Gorglione was Adjunct Professor of Holography at San Francisco State University Physics' Department, whose chair, Gerald Fischer, sponsored us in the Theater Department. They gave Gorglione the keys to a 750 seat theater, McKenna Theater, the week before Christmas, 1981. Song of Ages, a year in production, featured five laser scan systems, and a ten piece Jazz Orchestra playing original music, dancers, film, video projection and more in a synchronized performance series during which fifty artists co-created together the cycles of the day and rhythms of the planet.

As if this were not enough, we included a Holographic Environment in the theater lobby, as an entrance way to the Light Sound Motion Performance within. Vince DiBiase of the Center for Holography, San Rafael helped Co-ordinate the Holographic Environment. Participating holographers included Steve Anderson, Dr. Stephen Benton, Rudie Berkhout, Kent Carroll, Sherwin Chew, Greg Cherry, Ken Cooperman, Gloria DiBiase, Vince DiBiase, Judy Eisen, James Feroe, Bruce Goldberg, Nancy Gorglione, Randy James, John Kaufman, Sharon McCormick, Peter Miller, Jeffrey Milton, Steve McGrew, Lon Moore, Sam Moree, Rubin Nunez, Steve Provence, Vic Rice, Joseph Salerno, Dan Sweitzer, Steve Slater, Ira Slobodian, and Fred Unterseher. Holos Gallery lent us most of the East Coast holograms. Members of the L.A.S.E.R. Board spent the whole night before the dress rehearsal lighting holograms.
